5th & 6th Learn Bike Safety

New York Mills fifth and sixth graders have been learning about bike safety during physical education class with Jeff Rimpila. Students learn how to use hand signals, and other safety issues for biking on roads such as stopping, looking for cars, following street signs and swerving around obstacles. After the students pass the bike safety course, Mr. Rimpila took the group on a ride around town. This is the third year the NY Mills fifth and sixth graders have been able to practice bike safety skills thanks to the school’s bike fleet.
